DOUG BOWMAN NAMED DIRECTOR OF CONVENTION SERVICES

ATLANTA, GA JANUARY 6, 2010 — Doug Bowman was named Director of Convention Services for the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel, according to an announcement by Daniel Senden, Director of Sales & Marketing. “Bowman brings to the sales and marketing team leadership experience in conference services, plus a clear understanding of the dynamics of the Atlanta meetings, weddings and banquets market,” said Senden.

The 763 room downtown Sheraton Atlanta, located in the cultural, entertainment, and business heart of the city is the 6th largest meetings and convention property in Atlanta.

Prior to his appointment at the Sheraton, Bowman was a Senior Planner with TMSi, a Meeting Planning Company in Metro Atlanta. Earlier Bowman served as Director of Event Management in Denver, Ohio, and Atlanta with Renaissance Hotels, Resorts and Suites. Bowman’s career spans more than 21 years in the industry, primarily with Marriott and Renaissance Hotels and resorts in Florida, Denver, Ohio, and Atlanta. His concentration of experience was in catering, conventions services and event management.

The Ohio native was educated at The Ohio State University.
