Daniel Senden Sales & Marketing Director of the Sheraton Atlanta hotel was appointed to The Executive Marketing Advisory Board for the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia.
Senden joins a select group of 21 marketing executives, representing national, regional and local companies headquartered in Georgia, all with proven expertise in their respective fields.
The mission of the Executive Marketing Advisory Board which is headed by Director Peggy Emmelhainz of the UGA Marketing Department is:
Advise and support the Marketing Department in positioning Terry as one of the premier producers of marketing and sales talent, by:
- Providing insights and direction to assure students are prepared for the business world
- Influencing total program design and specific course curriculum based upon employer evaluation
- Guiding efforts to raise the profile and prestige of the Marketing Department
- Providing access to resources and the business community
Daniel Senden is a seasoned Atlanta hotel executive with a concentration of experience at branded four star luxury resorts as well as large upscale downtown properties focusing on corporate meetings and conventions business.
His extensive knowledge of major hotel brand programs, marketing strategies, and revenue management combined with excellent leadership, and communications skills have consistently driven highly favorable bottom line results. At the same time he has exceeded revenue goals every year of his tenure with top echelon hotel properties such as Marriott International, Chateau Élan Winery & Resort, and the Sheraton Atlanta hotel.
As Director of Sales & Marketing since 2005 for the 760 room Sheraton Atlanta, the 6 th largest meetings and conventions hotel in Atlanta with revenues exceeding $38 million, Senden leads a staff of 28 including departments of Sales, Catering, Convention Services, Revenue Management and Reservations. He also initiated and directs four remote sales offices in New York, Charlotte, Boston and Atlanta.
