SHERATON ATLANTA AWARDS ESTABLISH LEADERSHIP POSITION IN
HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY AND AS A GOOD CORPORATE CITIZEN

Setting a dual bar for excellence in the hospitality industry and as a good corporate citizen, the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel has won in 2009, four singular honors.

The American Hotel & Lodging Association selected the Sheraton Atlanta as the national recipient for the “Best Guest Relations” award. The Sheraton received an automatic nomination into the National runnings after winning “Best Guest Relations” award at the state level by Georgia Hotel & Lodging Association and “Meetings & Conventions Magazine honored the Hotel with its “Gold Key” award (4th consecutive year) given to the finest meeting properties worldwide, as voted by its subscribers.

The Georgia Hotel & Lodging Association. presented the “Good Earthkeeping” award to the Sheraton Atlanta for its substantial green initiatives and conservation efforts” which has significantly reduced its carbon footprint in the community, creating a more environmentally friendly operation.

The 765 room property located in the heart of downtown amid the top cultural, entertainment, sports and tourist attractions is Atlanta’s 6th largest meeting and convention property. More than $50 million has recently been invested upgrading all its meeting and conference spaces and $20 million in guest room and architectural enhancements.
