Kobishop Named General Manager Of The Sheraton Atlanta Hotel

ATLANTA, GA (January 2006) – Kevin Kobishop has been named general manager of The Sheraton Atlanta Hotel, which is located in the heart of downtown Atlanta just two blocks from Peachtree Street. Kobishop is responsible for overseeing all operations of the hotel, which features 760 rooms and 83,000 square feet of meeting space. Kobishop is now overseeing the completion of a $1 million enhancement of the hotel’s original 50,000 square feet of meeting space, which will wrap up in February 2006. This latest enhancement follows the addition of a $10 million Conference Center with 33,000 square feet of function space, which opened at the hotel in December 2004.

Prior to joining Sheraton Atlanta Hotel, Kobishop served as the general manager of the 757-room Wyndham Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. Previous to that, he served as vice president of brand operations for Wyndham International, where he was responsible for overseeing hotel conversions, and for directing new hotel development processes. He also has served as vice president, F&B Operations for Shula’s Restaurants, and as vice president of Catering & Conference Management for Wyndham International, where he developed catering and conference management programs and standards for 150 hotels and resorts.
